Most people driving between Ioannina and Preveza pass Agios Georgios without stopping. Two rows of Roman arches stand there, part of the aqueduct that carried spring water fifty kilometres south to Nikopolis. Nothing is fenced, nothing is ticketed, and it is rarely busy. Twenty minutes off the road is enough to see it.
