The Archaeological Museum of Almyros is located in the town of Almyros in Magnesia and hosts exhibits from the Neolithic period, the early Historical, Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic eras. It is hosted in a neoclassical building from 1930, constructed for the purpose of collecting antiquities, manuscripts, and books from the wider region of Thessaly. The exhibition showcases the history of ancient Achaia Phthiotis, as well as the ancient cities of Phthiotic Thebes and Alos. A visit to the museum is worthwhile for both young and adults!
